RES a Northern Ireland company leading the way in renewable energy, has been awarded the first contract to create a windfarm along the Shelton Road in Loughgeil at the Corkey Quarry.
The project will take about 22 months to complete and the turbines are due to be constructed late in 2016. Work is due to start in the next couple of weeks
Once up and running the wind farm could provide power to around 12000 homes.
