Pair charged over Ballycastle fatal collision

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Cushendall Road, Ballycastle on Monday 6 April, have charged a 50 year old man and 48 year old woman with Assisting offenders and Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

They are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday 27 July.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The pair were arrested on 30 June along with a 20 year old man and a 20 year old woman.

Officers have been granted more time to question the 20 year old male while the 20 year old woman has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 22 year old man was also arrested by the investigation team earlier today, Thursday 2 July. He remains in custody at this time helping police with their enquiries.
