Serious Assault in Ballymoney

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in a car park off Castle Street in Ballymoney during the early hours of this morning, Sunday 26 July.At around 1.30am it was reported that a man had been assaulted in a car park at the rear of a local hotel. A 25 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious head injury.

Detective Sergeant Chris Wilkinson said: “There were a large number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with any information that could assist the police investigation to contact Detectives at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
