A 13 year old boy has died after it was reported he entered water on Monday afternoon in Scarva.
A report of concern for safety was made for the teenager at approximately 3:30 pm in the Canal Court area of Scarva
A spokesperson for the Police at the time said: “It was reported that at around 3.30 pm, a boy had gone into the water in the area.
Officers attended the scene along with other emergency services colleagues, including the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and Air Ambulance NI.”
Unfortunately, since the initial report, it has now been confirmed the young teenager has died at Craigavon Area Hospital as a result of the incident.
Thoughts this evening are with the boys family.
