33 year old to appear at Belfast Magistrates after wielding a nail studded post at a Police officer

Detectives from Musgrave have charged a 33 year old man with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, assault on police, obstructing police and disorderly behaviour.

He is due to appear at Belfast MC on Thursday 18th June. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The charges are in connection with an incident at Glenbawn Avenue on Sunday 17th May when a male wielding a post studded with nails confronted an officer who subsequently drew his firearm
