BREAKING: Firearm found in Londonderry search WAS used in murder of local Journalist

A firearm that was recovered in the recent searches of the Ballymagroarty area of Londonderry has been identified as that which was used in the killing of Journalist Lyra McKee.

Lyra was just 29 years old when she was shot dead on the Creggan Estate in the City in 2019.

A bomb found in the same search was fully primed and police say it was ready for ‘imminent use’.
