Police are appealing for information following a break-in at the Shaw’s Wood building site in Cullybackey.
Considerable damage was caused to machinery, building materials were set on fire and orange spray-paint was used to graffiti the site.
A PSNI spokesperson has said’
“We believe that it has happened sometime between 5pm on Friday 28th June and the morning of Monday 1st July, most likely the small hours of Saturday morning after speaking with some residents.
“Trespassing is one thing, but to start fires so close to a residential area is totally reckless and to be blunt, endangers lives. Even to fix the damage to the digger alone, as you can see from the photo, will require a considerable amount of money.”
