Minister for Agriculture Edwin Poots, announced this evening (Thursday) that he will be reopening DAERA fisheries from Monday.
Following an earlier announcement by the First and Deputy First Minsters that garden and household recycling centres can open from Monday, Edwin Poots made his own announcement, that will no doubt be welcomed by anglers.
Speaking about the announcement following his interview with BBC’s The View, Mr Poots said:
“In line with the Prime Ministers announcement and the Executive decision to commence the first phase of easing restrictions I am opening DAERA fisheries from Monday 18th May.
“I understand it has been hugely frustrating for many anglers and this will be a huge relief to many who enjoy the sport.”
