The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service has recorded an increase in call-outs over Halloween night compared to same evening last year.
The increase, approximately 22%, comes despite tighter COVID-19 measures in place during an imposed four week ’circuit breaker’ designed to lower the transmission of the virus and reduce infection rates (’R’ value).
The NIFRS have said: ”Between 6pm on the 31st October and 1am on the 1st November, NIFRS Fire Crews responded to 62 operational incidents. This equates to a 22% increase for the same period in 2019.”
