Princess Royal tours North West on one day visit to Northern Ireland

HRH, Princess Anne, made a short one day visit to Northern Ireland earlier today, beginning her whistle-stop tour at the Siege Museum and Apprentice Boys memorial hall in Londonderry.

The Princess Royal was given a tour of the museum and facilities, meeting several organisation representatives.

Her Royal Highness, whilst there met with local school children on an educational visit to the museum and was treated to a display of highland dancers.

Her Royal Highness also unveiled a special stone to mark the Centenary of NI.

The Princess Royal dropped into limavady business Seating Matters—which specialises in clinical, therapeutic seating—where she met management and staff.

In her final NI engagement, The Princess Royal met with staff and volunteers at the Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI) who are involved in a range of voluntary and charitable activities.

The charity aims to improve people’s lives in the local borough and has played a key role in refurbishing the former Roe Valley Hospital, which now serves as a multifunctional community based facility.
