The Mother of a child who is sick, is set to take legal action the Education Minister over the decision not to close schools.
The league action is based on the child having a respiratory condition which makes them more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus and at great risk of contracting it from others.
Via the Mothers lawyers the following statement was released:
“We have today put the Minister of Education, the Minister of Health, the Education Authority and the CCMS on notice of our intention to apply for emergency judicial review of the current position with regards to the decision not to close schools across the jurisdiction.
“We are instructed by the mother of a child who attends a primary school in County Armagh.”
It is also believed that a second Judicial Review has been lodged, this time by a Father of a child with Asthma.
