Multiple deaths following two vehicle RTC near Portglenone

Sad news this afternoon after multiple people are reported to have died following a serious RTC on
the Lisnahunshin Road.

Police closed the Lisnahunshin Road, the Loan Road, Hiltonstown Road and
Ballyconnelly Road shortly after 11am this morning.

Alderman Stewart McDonald commented: “Reports this morning of multiple fatalities in a traffic accident is distressing and heartbreaking.

“While further details are awaited, it is clear families have been plunged
into deep mourning. Very much in thoughts and prayers.”

A PSNI spokesperson said “Police and other emergency services are at the
scene and drivers are advised to follow their direction and find an
alternative route.”
