Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club is proud to announce the Bayview Hotel as title sponsor of the ‘Race of Legends’ for a second year.
Following their joint 10-year anniversary in 2018, the Bayview Hotel will again join with the Armoy Road Races for what is sure to be a fantastic festival of racing.
Situated at the heart of the picturesque village of Portballintrae, overlooking the Causeway coastline, the family run, newly refurbished Bayview Hotel specialises in promoting Northern Ireland as the perfect holiday destination.
Having been a race sponsor at the event every year since the inaugural event in 2009 and being the title sponsor in 2018, the Bayview Hotel owner, Trevor Kane, made the decision to remain as title sponsor for the 2019 ‘Race of Legends’.
Born from an initial idea by the locals in 2007, the Armoy Road Races has continued to grow from strength to strength, now positioning itself as one of the biggest national road races in Ireland, welcoming an increasing number of spectators and bike enthusiasts each year.
Bill Kennedy MBE, Clerk of the Course said, “Having Trevor and the team at the Bayview Hotel on board as our title sponsor again this year is fantastic news for the Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ and the Causeway Coast and Glens area in general.
“We are passionate about our racing and honouring the legends that once raced these roads, but we are also passionate about our sport here on the North Coast. We want to encourage visitors and spectators to come and enjoy the fantastic festival of racing and to experience all the popular tourist attractions right on the doorstep of Armoy, and the Bayview Hotel is the perfect base for exploring.”
As one of Northern Ireland’s prime motorsport gatherings, the Armoy Road Races has a rich history of bringing together the best-known riders both locally and internationally, with this year set to be no different. More information on who will be taking part will be released in the coming months.

The Armoy Road Races are part funded by Tourism Northern Ireland and the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. This year, Bike Week runs from Saturday 20th July until Saturday 27th July with the races taking place on Friday 26th July and Saturday 27th July 2019 culminating in the ‘Race of Legends’.
