Day 1 didn’t start off as well as Day 1, with a constant downpour of rain that lingered not only from the night before but into early afternoon. Even when the clouds cleared slightly the rain was never far away with the odd drizzle
This however didn’t dampen anyones spirits as right from the off, spectators were arriving at the course in steady numbers for todays practices.
Tuesdays practices saw the pro golfers take to the putting greens and the driving range getting in their last of their practices before some of them leads a team of amatures in the Pro-Am and then beginning the Irish Open tournament on Thursday.
On the subject of the Pro-Am tournament, the teams were announced and schedules released along with the round 1&2 pairings for the main tournament.
More of that coming on Wednesday and Thursday
