Strong winds and heavy rain to batter Northern Ireland this weekend as ‘Storm Ciara’ arrives

A number of yellow weather warnings are in place over the weekend for strong winds and heavy rain, as Northern Ireland prepares for its worse storm in recent years.

People are asked to be carful if out and about over the weekend and expect that there could be travel delays, flooding, power cuts, spray or large waves on coastal routes, and fallen trees.
