A Ballymena Court has heard that a previously disqualified drink driver committed a further drink driving offence just two months later.
Peter McGill (52) of Ballywillan Road Portrush, had his case listed at a sitting of Coleraine Magistrates’ court sitting in Ballymena on Friday, April 16.
The defendant had previously been disqualified in January of this year for a drink driving offence for five years.
Pleading guilty to the three new charges before the court which occurred on March 17 this year at Crocknamack Street Portrush – driving with excess alcohol in breath, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance – the defendant’s Barrister asked for a pre-sentence report in the case.
District Judge Peter King warned the defendant that his ‘liberty was at risk’ and adjourned the matter to May 14.
