Elderly man who died after going missing named locally.

The elderly man found dead after a search on Tuesday evening, has been named locally.

Joe McKane, aged in his 80’s, body was found in the early hours of Wednesday close to his home.

Mr McKane was last seen in the Garryduff Road area of the town.

Unfortunately all the efforts by PSNI air support, search dogs and community search teams were unsuccessful in finding the pensioner alive.

Ballymoney Cycling club extended their sympathies to Joe who was a founding member of the club:
