Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for witnesses following the report of an attempted robbery in the Green Street area of Limavady yesterday evening 5th August.


Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: “At approximately 6.30 pm, a masked male entered licenced premises armed with a knife and demanded cash.

“A 28 year old male was later arrested for attempted robbery and possession of a class B drug. He remains in custody at this time.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact Detectives in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 2058 of 05/08/19.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
