Sinn Féin Councillor Leanne Peacock has welcomed confirmation from the Minister For Infrastructure that a review of safety installations on the Lisnahunshin Road between Rasharkin and Cullybackey will be carried out by DFI officials.
Miss Peacock said: “I have been raising serious safety concerns on the Lisnahunshin Road with DFI for some time now including speed issues, drainage issues, visibility issues among Other issues outlined by local people.
“I had recently written to the Minister to highlight these concerns and I am pleased to have received confirmation that a review of the safety installations on the road will be carried out by DFI officials to see if any enhancements can be made.
“This is welcome news and a process that I will be following closely to ensure that the many issues outlined are highlighted to road users and addressed.”
