During a routine patrol on the outskirts of Dervock, Ballycastle and surrounding areas, the local neighbourhood policing team spotted a car pulled into a lay-by with only one occupant, who was sitting in the back seat.
Police returned to the parked car and found the single occupant in the back of the vehicle playing video games on his laptop whilst smoking cannabis.
After speaking to the male, he handed over a bag of Cannabis to Police and was subsequently dealt with for possession.
Posting on their social media account, Police said: “The scary thing is had this male not of been caught he could of driven home whilst unfit and crashed killing or injuring himself or someone else.
“Don’t be that person and don’t risk your life or anyone else’s!”
