Spate of burglaries in Ballycastle this morning

Police are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in Ballycastle this morning (July 22).

Constable Collins said: “At around 4.30 am, we received a report that keys had been taken from a shed at a property in the Craigfad Road area of the town and a grey Volkswagen Jetta had been stolen.

“In a second report just after 6 am, it was reported that entry had been forced into an outhouse in the Fairhead Road and a number of tools had been taken.

“In a final report, just before 9 am, a report was made stating that a farm also shed on the Fairhead Road had been broken into tools, and farm equipment had been stolen.

“We believe these incidents to be linked and would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in these areas or may have information that could help with our enquiries, to get in touch with police on 101, quoting reference number 279 of 22/07/21.”
