Police in Ards and North Down arrested four males in the Helen’s Bay area in the early hours of Thursday 3rd September.
The arrests followed reports of a group of males acting suspiciously at cars parked in Craigdarragh Road shortly after 1am on Thursday morning. Officers attended and located the suspects, aged 15, 17, 18 and 22, and arrested them on suspicion of a number of offences including vehicle interference, criminal damage and obstructing police. All four remain in police custody at this time.
Sergeant James Rea said: “This is a great example of policing with the community. The prompt report to police by members of the public allowed officers to locate the suspects and take swift, appropriate action. I would encourage anyone witnessing suspicious activity to report it to police immediately on 101 or in the case of an emergency on 999.”
