Michael Dunlop has edged even closer to his Uncle Joey‘s TT record following another win at this year‘s event.

With four podium wins at this year’s road races on the Isle of Man, Dunlop’s total wins at the TT stands at 25, just one away from the record set by the late Joey Dunlop.

Claiming victories in the SuperSport class on day one of racing, then another in the Superbikes, the Supertwins and again yesterday in the second SuperSport race — if Michael takes another win — he will equal the 13-year record of Ian Hitchinson with five wins in a single year at the TT.

Dunlop also set a new class lap record in the Supersports with a speed of 130.403mph.

All eyes will now be on Michael to continue his winning streak in Froday’s second Superstock and Supertwin classes.
