Graeme McDowell has secures his place at this years 148th Open Golf tournament at Royal Portrush.
The Portrush native secured the place with a 30 foot putt on the final hole at the Canadian Open.
Raised just a short distance from the links course where he will compete later this summer for the British Open title, McDowell will be hoping for the win.
BUT it won’t be easy as he faces off against top golfer and fellow Northern Ireland man, Rory McIlroy, who won the Canadian Open over the weekend, making it 16 PGA tour titles for the Holywood Man.
Never-the-less, the locals and his home town Golf Club of Rathmore, will most certainly be getting behind the golfer when the tournament hits town in July.
