Coleraine will host an outdoor egg hunt with a difference, walking tours and lots of free family fun as the town looks forward to a long weekend of Easter celebrations.
Organised by the Business Improvement District (BID) Team, it’s set to be a cracking few days with lots of attractions to enjoy and great prizes to be won.
From Good Friday (April 19th) until Easter Tuesday (April 23rd), the special egg hunt through the town centre offers the perfect opportunity to explore the heart of Coleraine with friends and family. Get your free treasure trail map at participating shops, the bus and rail station, local schools or go to www.colerainebid.com/easter. Collect 12 egg locations to win a prize from the Coleraine BID stall or find all 30 egg locations to receive a ‘Expert Egg Hunter’ certificate and enter an extra prize draw to win a family Easter hamper. Don’t forget to look out for one of the Special Golden Eggs hidden in different locations throughout the town to win your share of £100 shopping vouchers. It’s not to be missed!
On Good Friday, Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday family fun zones from 11am-3pm will offer an exciting range of free attractions including a cuddly petting zoo, Easter Tea Cups, beat the goalie competition, visits from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, craft stalls, egg and duck painting and much more. With over 50 places to eat and drink in Coleraine, make sure you leave time to spoil your little adventurers with a decadent Easter treat or two. There’ll be extra fun to enjoy on Easter Tuesday (April 23rd) between 1pm-4pm with a Willy Wonka Treasure Trail, a chance to meet an Oompa Loompa, Golden Ticket giveaway along with Q Radio all in The Diamond Centre.
Causeway Speciality Market returns on Saturday (April 20th) with a great variety of artisan produce including local food, arts and crafts along with on-street musical entertainment.
On Easter Sunday (April 21st), you can attend one of the many Easter Services throughout our places of Worship in the town. Check our website for more information.
For all those interested in history or if you want to find out more about the story of Coleraine, the BID Team is proud to announce the new ‘Discover Coleraine Walking Tours’ which will start at 1130am and 1.30pm from Coleraine Town Hall on Easter Monday. (Cost £10 per person) Pre-booking is available from the Visitor Information Centre or speak to the BID Team on the day.
