Local mental health support charity, the Zachary Geddis Break The Silence Trust (ZGBTST), have launched a ‘”secret project” in partnership with Ground Espresso Bars across Northern Ireland to help “promote local people and the community connections”.

Yasmin Geddis, the founder of ZGBST, spoke following the official announcement, saying: “We are so proud to be able to announce a secret project we have been working on behind the scenes.

If 2020 has taught us anything, it is to be appreciative of our local businesses and we are delighted to team up with Ground Espresso Bars and their many stores across Northern Ireland as a local charity to promote local people and community connection.

Ground Espresso Bar opened their first store back in 2001 in Coleraine, and since then have grown 25 stores in Northern Ireland, one in Dublin and several stores in other parts of the UK, according to the companies website.

“As our final donation push of 2020 to raise important funds for ZGBTST throughout December our lovely donation buckets will be placed in every store across the land, along with information leaflets on how the community of NI can gain Mental Health Support from ZGBTST;” said Yasmin.

“Ground Espresso Bars have such a great connection with ZGBTST and pictured here is Yasmin and Rachel Elliot, Manager of Ground Coleraine and dear friend and colleague of Zachary as he worked in the Portrush store in his late teens.

While raising essential funds to support the charity, Yasmin also took the opportunity to show off the charity new branding.

“If you are in store you will see the new logo on our donation buckets created especially for this collaboration which pictures a beautiful memory of Zachary, Rachel and dear friend Hannah Graham all in their Ground uniforms.

“We hope you visit Ground in the near future and see our display, take a leaflet and spread our message.

If you would like to get involved and make a donation, call into any Ground Espresso Bar using the charity buckets or visit the projects GoFundMe page.
