Police vehicles came under attack in the village of Bushmills whilst assisting Ambulance colleagues providing medical attention to a ‘distressed’ male.
Following the incident a spokesperson said: “Police were helping Northern Ireland Ambulance Service with a call in Dundarave, Bushmills in relation to a distressed male in need of medical attention.
“While trying to help this male and get NIAS to him persons started to throw projectiles at the Police vehicles.
“This is the latest on a number of attacks on Police in this area.
“We will continue to do our job and protect the community despite these attacks.”
