Young man dies following cliff accident near Dunluce

A young man has tragically lost his life after a cliff accident near Dunluce yesterday evening.

The youth is believed to have been taking part in water sports at the time.

The Coleraine and Ballycastle Coastguard Teams were tasked at 17:07 to a major incident near Dunluce Castle and Whiterocks Beach.

They were also joined by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance service , Portrush inshore and All weather Lifeboats, RNLI Lifeguards, Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter R199 from Prestwick and PSNI.
